Her teaching career, which began in Northern Manitoba in 1985 has been marked by a diverse set of roles, including counselor, student services teacher, special education program teacher and classroom teacher, at Samuel Burland, Victor Major, and Dakota Collegiate.

Sandra est une éducatrice dévouée par suite de son engagement de longue date envers la Division scolaire Louis Riel, accompagnant les élèves et les familles depuis 1992. Sa carrière d'enseignante, qui a débuté dans le nord du Manitoba en 1985, été marquée par un ensemble diversifié de rôles, notamment comme conseillère, enseignante-ressource, enseignante spécialisée, et enfin, enseignante dans les écoles Samuel Burland, Victor Mager et Dakota Collegiate.

Mariée à Chris depuis 37 ans et mère de quatre enfants adultes, Sandra est animée par son désir de servir de porte-parole aux familles de la Division scolaire Louis Riel, quartier 1.
En tant que parent, Sandra a rempli un mandat de trois ans à titre de présidente du conseil consultatif des parents au cours duquel elle a fourni des soins avant et après l’école ainsi que des cours particuliers à son domicile.
